Pat Costigan with his guide dog, Quandro
Getting a guide dog has given Pat Costigan a new direction in life after losing his sight. Pat has had two open-heart surgeries, a brain haemorrhage and a stroke and has lost most of his sight, yet he still thinks he is very lucky. Pat told the students how Quandro has made a big difference in his life.
Students in Pobalscoil Iosolde raised €400 for The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Pat attended a Coffee Morning at the school on Wednesday, 3 October 2010, and was happy to accept a cheque on behalf of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
